Built ca.1880. Sawyer was a Justice of the Peace, drove a stagecoach, and worked in the Rooney coal mine.
As of the 1976 survey, Judge Sawyer’s wife Mary and daughter Minnie still lived in this home. Mary had lived here since coming as a bride in 1908. She worked at the Morrison Post Office and at J.B. Walker’s Pavillion, which burned in 1914.
As of 2025, house is privately owned, rented out. Currently for sale along with entire block of buildings with same owner, including #29 Morrison Bank, as well as Upholstery Shop and Red Rocks Grill.
