Built ca. 1870 of native sandstone by Geo. Morrison, the Town’s founder. The stage ran from Morrison to Leadville and Fairplay.

The photo below is of the same corner of the building, but from a different angle. The tree on the left in both photos is a concolor fir, one of several that Reenie Horton planted on the property.

For many years, this building was part of the Horton House property (see #39). Following a fire in 2015, the property is under new ownership.
