1976 documentation: Built in 1873. It was the station for the Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad. Freight transported consisted of: Building stone, some marble, lime, fence posts and lumber from sawmills along Bear Creek; hauled down by wagons to the train in Morrison. The train made its last scheduled run in 1925 and was abandoned after the 1933 flood. It played an important part in the history of Morrison.

Morrison was the terminus for the railroad. The turntable rotated the engines for the trip back to Denver. It is buried under the large parking lot in the middle of town. See photo below.
